Fingering for the Scales

   C Major: C D E F G A B C D E F G . . .
Right Hand: 1 2 3 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 1 2 . . .
 Left Hand: 5 4 3 2 1 3 2 1 4 3 2 1 . . .

When you are praticing scales the 5th finger is used less when travelling more than one octave. The 5th finger on the right hand will finally be played when you ascend to the highest C. The same is true of the left hand when descending.

The pattern of fingering 1 2 3 and 1 2 3 4 happen over and over.
